  1. Planting Seeds:

    • Sow the seeds directly in the garden or start them indoors in pots. Plant the seeds about 2-3cm deep in well-draining soil.
  2. Spacing:

    • Space the plants approximately 40-60cm apart.
  3. Location:

    • Choose a sunny location for your plants. They require at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
  4. Soil Preparation:

    • Plant Kingka plant in well-draining, fertile soil with a pH level between 6.0 and 7.5. Incorporate organic matter like compost into the soil before planting.
  5. Watering:

    • Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the active growth phase. Water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the foliage.
  6. Fertilization:

    • Use a balanced fertilizer when planting, and consider additional applications during the growing season according to the package instructions.
  7. Thinning:

    • If you started multiple seeds per pot, thin the seedlings to leave the strongest one. Proper spacing allows for better air circulation.
  8. Mulching:

    • Apply a layer of organic mulch around the plants to conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and maintain a more even soil temperature.
  9. Support:

    • While the plants are typically bushy, providing support for the fruits can prevent them from touching the ground and reduce the risk of diseases.
  10. Pest Control:

    • Monitor for pests such as squash bugs or aphids. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil if pests become problematic.
  11. Harvesting:

    • Harvest the fruits when they reach the desired size and have a fully developed colour.
